Artistic and research interests
My research focuses on the characterization of the elastic and adhesive properties of engineered biomolecules. Such biomolecules, for their ability to create elastic and energy dissipative interfaces between the components of hybrid materials, are attractive as molecular building blocks.
The binding affinity on different surfaces is investigated at nanoscale by the powerful technique of Force Spectroscopy.
I am a Doctoral candidate in Nanostructures and materials group (NanoS) and part of the HYBER (Centre of Excellence in Molecular Engineering of Biosynthetic Hybrid Materials research of excellence).
