Abstrakti

3D models are being increasingly applied in construction, both on city level and for individual buildings. As a result, the city and building models are increasingly combined, and used in online 3D applications. In this study, we present a case of applying a city model platform (MAPGETS) in the context of a medium sized city in Finland. Finally, we aim to identify future development directions concerning both the applications developed and the future geo-information infrastructure of cities.
