The Shadow Side

Satu Kiuru is exploring through her art and artistic research our collective shadow side, exporting old methods from Finnish poetic storytelling to examine something that lies hidden from our consciousness. Her upcoming exhibition explores the themes of hidden greed, jealousy and envy. Her artwork signifies a moment of artistic crystallization, where the artists’ research enables the psycho-analytical and societal review of the artistic process. This point of view makes it possible to include the aesthetic, social and mythological dimensions of examining the artistic process.
