Abstrakti
”Suojaisaa aikaa – eng. Sheltered time” -exhibition has been created during Visual practices 1 -course. The exhibition focuses on different themes and techniques and is driven by a strong sense of experimentation. Videos, sculptures, prints, photographs – images of life and humanity.
Art education students’ different approaches to lens based practices create a versatile entity. The exhibition is rooted on a very hands-on approach; how to photograph, how to edit photograps, what is a photograph? Regardless of the subject matter, the central themes of the exhibition are relationships, care and protection.

The connective themes of the exhibition lie in identity, relationships and nostalgia. The pieces create an intertwined web of journalistic documentation, conditions that spark curiosity and personal visions.
