The 17.3 issue of the International Journal of Education Through Art (IJETA) officially rounds out our first two years as the editorial team. Incredibly, the publication of this issue will also mark two years since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. During this period, the editorial team has held a rather unique position stewarding the journal as the impacts of the pandemic have rippled through our readers', reviewers', journal managers', editors' and authors' lives across the globe. An unfathomable (and perhaps incalculable) number of humans have been lost, traumatized and restrained. It is not inconceivable that the loss of lives sustained over the last two years will be the defining, collective horror of our time. Moreover, COVID-19 has affected innumerable aspects of our public and private lives, including the melding of these two spheres into remote (domestic) working, learning and conferencing contexts.
