    Abstrakti

This article considers questions addressed by the performance "Radio Resist Europe" by Diásporas críticas, enacted in the context of the conference Subjectivites feministes, queer et postcoloniales en art contemporain: une histoire en mouvements, (University Rennes II, France) in 2015. Radio Resist Europe was a performance consisting of a composition of audio fragments, music and live reading that happened to coincide with the mediatized political crisis surrounding Charlie Hebdo. The performative exercise aimed to fortify alliances between poets, activists, academics and artists at the conference and raise awareness of the subtlety, complexity and diversity of distinct forms of censorship. A number of voices, past and present, were gathered around the question "What is the sound of censorship", among them poets and musicians who have been imprisoned in France for critiquing nationalist discourses in their music.
