Abstrakti

Other Histories in the Present, a mixed media installation at Väre. Presentation of work produced in Vicca Histories in the Present course, in collaboration with Natural History museum, National Archives and Wellcome collection in London. This project addresses the non-human organisms that consume and use the archive for their own purposes. Like humans that use the archives, these organisms select and consume. Furthermore, the organisms establish an additional layer of memory as the microbes or fungi on the archival object could reveal its material history and genealogy.
