Additive manufacturing is a fast-growing field of industry that enables production of complex shapes and components. Topological optimisation is a shape optimisation methodology that often takes advantage of these new manufacturing possibilities. However, casting is not often taken into proper consideration when topologicals optimised components are discussed. Thus, three product cases in differing sizes are presented in this work, showing components made into reality by combining additive and casting technologies. The high potential of hybrid manufactured cast metal products should not be easily forgotten in the current age of high-performance manufacturing.
