Abstrakti
Using the Langmuir-Blodgett method it is possible to construct ultrathin dye-clay films which possess a double organisation. The clay particles are organised in a closely packed monolayer as can be seen by atomic force microscopy. Fluorescence spectroscopy and fluorescence microscopy reveal that two different organic dye molecules are homogeneously distributed in the film. Energy transfer between two dye molecules is improved by the presence of clay particles in suspension as well as in clay films.
