Abstrakti
This paper discusses measurements of the moisture content of a bio material web non-destructively by means of radio waves. The material under test (MUT) is sludge from the process of a paper factory. The sludge is dewatered in a belt filter press in order to make it sufficiently dry for burning and energy generation. The moisture content of the bio material web is of interest because the aim is to optimize the net energy consumption in the whole energy-generation process. The objective of this paper is to investigate the suitability of the resonance measurement for determining the moisture content of the MUT.
