Simo Puintila & Kaisu Savola: Hidden Statements
About the installation: Ever since the 19th century, each time and era have had their own, influential 'hero designers' and 'star architects', who have defined the ideals of the built environment through their work and words. Hidden Statements is a participatory installation, where visitors get to read some of the most famous quotes from these admired men. Under the spotlight, difficult questions emerge: who gets to decide how and with what principles our living environment is designed? Whose voice is left unheard and what points of view unexplored?
