Juan Duarte is a Mexican artist-researcher working on environmental sounds to inquire on the symbiotic relation between nature and technology, by making artefacts that resonate with planetary energies and ancient cosmo-visions. His current research explores augmented listening of natural environments by experimenting with artificial intelligence (AI) and remote sensing techniques. These experiments explore how computers can learn to deep-listen and make sense of natural environments. His work has been presented as lectures and performances in Mexico, Europe and Asia.
