Introduction to the special issue of technoscientific practices of music: critical implications of new technologies

This special issue, emerging from a symposium organised in Helsinki in November 2022, brings together contributions from a group of scholars, exploring the technoscientific practices of music and the critical implications of new technologies. The authors investigate the complex and evolving relationship between human creativity and advanced computational technologies, addressing the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies on creative autonomy, ethical considerations in data and cultural appropriation, and the sustainability of technological consumption.
