“Future Food Stories” exhibition explores communicative and narrative qualities of food as a material and experience, and the culturally changing role of food in our society. The exhibition consists of installations which are created by using food as a material, and as a narrative element. Come and experience to create your own interpretations. This exhibition is part of Helsinki Design Week 2018 Program. Sunday 15.9.2018 @ 11:00 – 13:30 & 15:00 – 17.30 at the Flavour Studio, Teurastamo EDIBLE CLIMATES – FOOD DESIGN WORKSHOPS (related to the exhibition theme). Edible Climates workshop explores climate theme and storytelling aspects of food. We use different food ingredients as narrative elements and combine food qualities, characteristics and meanings with personal experiences and memories to create narrative structures for stories. The workshop is facilitated by Heidi Uppa. Participants will be guided to handle ingredients and different working methods. They can approach and explore food in an experimental way to create their own edible stories. Both workshops are open to 30 participants. Enrollment required but participation is free of charge.
