abstract = "The resonant response of prolate nano-spheroids is numerically investigated via a surface integral equation method. Several results, such as the surface field distribution of dipole and higher order modes, the normalized extinction and the plasmonic albedo as a function of the axial ratio of the nano-scatterer, are obtained. These results verify a geometrically induced red-shift for the main dipole mode, while several novel insights are also presented and discussed related to higher order modes characteristics of spheroidal nano-antennas.",
