Research performance evaluations are standardly based on Scientific data that is very limited: Web of Science and Scopus, occasionally Google Scholar. Especially, this issue concerns arts and humanities area where only less than 10% of the works are indexed in the scientific databases. Field of aesthetics have even lower ratio. Problem arises due to Scientific Databases requirements for the publications venues to be indexed in those databases. The most challenging requirements are two: it should be (1) a peer reviewed journal, (2) with publications in English language. Following these restrictions limits researchers from the ability to convey the research in the most suitable way for the expected audience. Moreover, currently monographs and books chapters are dominated as type of research report, written in local language. During our initial session in "International Association of Aesthetics Interim Conference 2018", we discussed the topic and recognized this problem among participants from various countries. This issue affected not only research institutions or solely researchers per se, but also publishing venues, which need to comply with privately own academic databases requirements in order to continue its existence by ensuring appropriate funding. We suggest a panel discussion to discuss and propose possible ways of action to tackle this issue, and ensure Aesthetics as field uniqueness.
