Abstrakti

This paper delves into the inherent value of data, not merely as an isolated product but as a crucial resource for decision-making across various fields, including consumer behavior analysis and sales optimization. It argues for the necessity of embedding ethical guidelines into the core architecture of technological solutions, a task that presents considerable challenges to science communication due to the differing terminologies and methodologies of humanitarian and technological disciplines. However, this integration is essential for fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and ensuring the ongoing adaptation of innovative solutions emphasising ethical values. The goal of this article is to justify the understanding of mobility data as a sought-after commodity in the modern economy and management, the use of which brings obvious benefits and revenues, as well as serious ethical risks. The management and minimization of these risks are possible through the incorporation of ethical guidelines into the business decision-making structure, such as in the activities of ethical data markets.
