Abstrakti
The birth of empirical science in the 16th and 17th century is a unique and rather recent event in the history if ideas. For it to become even thinkable, the philosophy preceding the event had to favor its birth or at least stop building obstacles on the way of its birth. Has the Christian theology on the properties of nature been one part of this kind of philosophy?
