Designing meaningful work in the transition towards Industry 5.0

This paper employs service design to make visible the processes of technological and social transformation (Vink, 2019) toward Industry 5.0 (I5.0). It addresses complex challenges of industrial transformation through systemic and long-term approaches while fostering shifts in the mindsets, practices, and behaviours (Garduo-Garca and Gaziulusoy, 2021). Special attention is paid to industrial-setting workers-emphasising care through focus on meaningfulness of work. Particularly, the study explores how value is co-created in ecosystem interactions, guided by the norms, values, and beliefs embedded in institutional arrangements (Vargo and Lusch, 2011) in the process of transformation towards I5.0.
