Serious indoor air quality problems occur in about 30% of new or renovated buildings. This study aimed to investigate real-time concentration of selected indoor pollutants in a several times renovated school with reported health symptoms. The study was carried out in 6 classrooms during summer holiday 2015. The total volatile organic compound (TVOC), formaldehyde, particulate matter PM2,5 and carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations were low: <200 µg/m³, <20 µg/m³, <5 µg/m³ and <500 ppm, respectively. The temperature and relative humidity were: 19-26°C and 30-60 %RH. No significant correlation was found between health symptoms and collected data. However the constant emission of formaldehyde in the sports hall is suspected to be a possible threat for children, as respiratory rate is higher during practices.
