Brolandingerne is a series of cultural events that take place by the Limfjord Bridge on each side of the water in Aalborg, Denmark.
About Tina Mariane Krogh Madsen's Body Interfaces – 870 meters movement between the bridges:
"How do we relate to our surroundings, its environment, past and future? What affective relations are created with our body when we connect to a place, locally and globally? These are some of the central and critical questions that Body Interfaces asks, which are formulated together with the environment, in a process of creation that explores our relational capacites. With a methodic use of the body's own technological property as an interface, Tina Mariane Krogh Madsen explores the stretch between two landmarks - The Limfjord Bridge and the so-called Culture Bridge. Through a performative movement, connections and relationships are created via the body's affective potentials. The performance thus creates a dynamic and pulsating flow, where micro-interactions and registrations are created along the way, where the audience is invited to follow and actively participate and listen collectively and critically to the environment. Body Interfaces as a method was started by Tina Mariane Krogh Madsen in 2015 as a site-specific practice that embodies the concept of 'interface' through analog interactions with the environment. The body as Interface must here be seen as a transmitting and mediating unit, where the connection between body and environment is thematized. It is a critical practice which through the affective relation, activates, registers, and discusses local issues in a global context.
