Abstrakti

Try out of the installation with selected invitees in the Learning Center of Aalto University.
They experience a hand-painted solar cell panel (mosaic) that interprets the colours and patterns of J. M. William Turner’s famous Snow-Storm - Steamboat Of Harbour... painting. In a dark space, then a reproduction of the Turner painting is faintly lit by an LED that is directly powered by the solar panel painting.
The work is produced since 2017 by `Aamo artscience group´ that is composed of artist Bartaku (School of Arts, Design and Architecture), and scientists Janne Halme (School of Science), Paulo Pinho (School of Electrical Engineering) and Merja Penttilä (School of Chemical Engineering and VTT).
