Families are invited to Lowestoft’s newest creative space ‘The Battery’ this Saturday 23 November for a free entry, under-water themed activity experience. Open from 10am – 3pm, The Battery, has opened its doors on Lowestoft’s London Road North (the old Tesco) and is home to Archie the Squid, a life-sized replica of the giant squid from the Natural History Museum’s mollusc collection and a giant sea creature made from seaweed by artist Julia Lohmann and on loan from Messums Art Hub.

A range of interactive activities will be on offer, inspired by Natural History Museum and Cefas, and run by The Battery of Ideas team. Lowestoft Maritime Museum and Books & Prints will also be there, so you can have a go at making your own sea-themed print. This will be the first time The Battery has opened its doors to the public since the team behind First Light Festival took over the building in July.

The information on artistic outputs in the Aalto Research Portal follows the reporting guidelines of Finland’s Ministry of Education and Culture.
