Abstrakti

Aki Suzuki Spirits’ new dance performance “Aino Kalevala” made use of Crucible Studio’s “Unperformed” Multiscreen Performance System, http://crucible.mlog.taik.fi/productions/unperformed-a-performance/, with visiting artist Jaakko Pesonen's stage design. The Planet Earth No.3 “Aino Kalevala” is a story written by Aki Suzuki and inspired by the Japanese “Mugen Noh” (a type of Noh play made up of a dream or illusion): an old, mysterious woman approaches a traveling monk and starts to recount the story of the surrounding scenery. The old woman tells the suspicious monk that she would appear in his dream at night and continue her story if he wants to know more. She is the spirit of Aino who refused to marry Väinämöinen and drowned herself. http://crucible.mlog.taik.fi/2013/11/04/aki-suzuki-spirits-aino-kalevala-presents-crucible-studios-multiscreen-performance-system-15-23-november-2013/ Facebook event: https://www.facebook.com/events/169055683294675/
