The number of people dying due to occupational related diseases is increasing each year. Therefore the effort to reduce, if not eliminate, the causes is very much in need. One of the factors that lead to this incident is due to exposure to harmful workplace conditions and chemicals especially in chemical process industries. In this paper, a systematic guideline for designing an inherently healthier chemical process during research and development stage is introduced. The proposed framework provides a guideline for the user to design a process with reduced, if not eliminated, health hazards that are commonly arise in a chemical plant.
