Abstrakti
In this work, we propose a surface coil for 7T MRI of a human body consisting of three dipoles connected by reactive lumped elements. The proposed coil's ability to create a local minimum of an electric field at a given point in the sample is tested via numerical simulations. It is shown that when used in the transmit mode the proposed coil minimizes the field at a given depth as well as lowers maximum local SAR at the surface when compared to a single dipole.
