What is the future status of human experiences? Has digitalization flattened our embodied experiences to a mere meh? What is the role of human body and skill in the age of automatization, robotization, and artificial intelligence. French philosopher Bernard Stiegler names technology as a pharmacon, a drug that at the same saves and destroys lives and also generates addiction. As artists, we both are interested in the possibilities of human becoming in the age of digital technology and estrangement from the physical human encounter. We share the same enthusiasm to research and experiment with different impressions from medias. We focus on experiencing the different perspectives of the global events. We want to propose a drawing performance that deals with these ideas and experiences; what it is like to draw so long that your hands hurt? And what is that experiences relationship to a robot that draws as long as the batteries last? The performance consists of Artist (Matti Vainio) drawing together with robot’s made by Tomi Dufva.
