Abstrakti
Sofia was tasked with creating illustrations for four stamps, a first-day cover, maximum card, and postmark for Åland Post.
The theme centered around metamorphosis. Inspired by Carl von Linné's quote, “No miracles are greater than the smallest”, the stamps aimed to capture the miraculous life cycle of butterflies. These small wonders of beauty undergo a remarkable metamorphosis, transforming from egg to chrysalis, caterpillar, and finally to the adult butterfly.
The depicted butterflies included the Large White, Small Tortoiseshell, Silver-washed Fritillary, and Green Hairstreak.
