Tiivistelmä

Alexander Zyuzin Theory of Weyl semimetals and superconductors Department of Applied Physics, Aalto University, Finland Weyl semimetals are new theoretically predicted and experimentally discovered materials, extending the class of two-dimensional topological electronic states of matter to three dimensions, which allows the study of relativistic quantum mechanics in the table-top condensed matter experiments. Our goal is to theoretically investigate the properties of these novel Weyl semimetals and superconductors for future electronic and photonic applications. Our theoretical approach is based on the techniques of many-body systems supplemented by appropriate numerical methods. We work with experimental groups to verify our theoretical predictions and put forward theoretical estimations for future experiments in the field of topological states of matter.
