Efficient search algorithms for genuine dependency rules in large-dimensional data. 3 years post-doctoral research in the Scool of Computing, University of Eastern Finland. The main research problem is to develop efficient computational methods for searching for statistically significant dependencies from large data sets. The problem is computationally very challencing and currently there are no efficient tools for analyzing, for eaxample, data sets on thousands of genes accurately. Thus, the produced computer programs will be able to find totally new knowledge, for example, on the complex relationships between genetic factors and diseases.
