Adrian Müller

My focus of research is on machine learning techniques for studying quantum systems, in particular but not limited to methods running on quantum computers. I'm also interested in several neighboring fields, especially (quantum) information theory, complex systems theory, and related pure mathematics. I further have an interest in social and philosophical implications, in particular ethics of AI (alignment), psychological studies of the mind (in particular in the therapeutic context), and the nature of reality (metaphysics). Finally, I'm invested in creating and advocating for an inclusive and safe work environment for everyone (DEI).

• variational methods on quantum computers
• singular learning theory
• applications of machine learning to social sciences (e.g. institutional theory)
