Relationship between files: Open-ended answers in Finnish and English in file Portal_questionnaire_open_answers.xlsx are connected with quantitative ratings on Likert-scale and qualitative open-ended answers in original language in file Portal_questionnaire_data.xlsx using ID number of subject in the first column in both files.

Description of methods used for data collection are described in detail in working paper A virtual dance performance for attracting new audiences – preliminary results from a survey of audience experience by Ruotoistenmäki et al. (2026) (manuscript, no link yet)

In short, 69 answers to questionnaire were given after viewing the performance online by filling in an online questionnaire.

Raw data from answers to questionnaires were extracted from Google Forms server as .csv files and imported in MS Excel.

The original number of respondents was 69. No answers have been removed. We replaced two missing values for open-ended answers in cells with the text 'MISSING'.

All data is in .xlsx files that have one sheet per file. No specific packages or libraries are needed.

We checked the quality of the data for missing values and correct date and time values by visual inspection of the data and charts drawn based on the data in MS Excel.
