Data supporting the publication entitled: "Airborne Infection Risk between Patients and Healthcare Staff under Different Air Distribution Strategies: A Test Chamber Study"

Tietoaineisto

Description

This dataset contains the metadata and processed data supporting the findings of the associated publication on ventilation performance and airborne infection risk in a simulated hospital environment.

The study investigated the effects of different air distribution strategies and experimental conditions on airborne transmission and exposure risk between patients and healthcare staff during clinical activities in a test chamber. The dataset includes processed concentration results, dilution ratio, contaminant removal efficiency, and infection probability, together with supporting metadata describing the experimental cases, measurement points, variable definitions, and calculation methods.

Reuse guidance
Users should read the metadata files before reusing the data. Variable definitions, units, case settings, and measurement point descriptions are provided in the 01_Metadata folder. Derived indicators should be interpreted together with the associated assumptions and calculation notes.

Notes
- Units and abbreviations are explained in variable_dictionary.xlsx.
- Case definitions are provided in case_description.xlsx.
- Measurement point information is provided in measurement_points.xlsx.
- This dataset contains processed data supporting the publication and does not necessarily include all raw measurement files generated during the study.
