Scope
The repository contains the data supporting the publication "Accurate quantification of polyester in textiles through complete depolymerisation and HPLC". The article can be found here.

HPLC_data.rds (135 kB): R variable export containting the nested dataframe HPLC_data (75 rows) corresponding to the data in Figure 2 (b) and (c). The dataframe contains the following columns:
ID (factor): unique identifier of each sample Examples: '2026.1', '2025.11'.
Group (factor): description of the sample content, by different experimental groups, matching the point shape legend in Figure 2 (b) and (c). Examples: 'Fabric', 'PET fibres'.
Fabric (factor): identifier of the fabric from which the sample was cut (if Group == 'Fabric'; else: NA). The key is included in Fabric_key.pdf. Exaples: '21', '41'
Second_component: for samples contatining two types of references fibres (PET + another), description of the non-PET one (if Group %in% c('PET and cotton fibres', 'PET and other fibres'); else: NA). Examples: 'Cotton', 'Wool'.
Chromatogram (dataframe): dataframe with columns:
Time (double): timestamp of the HPLC detector (from the start of the run, in minutes). Chromatograms are truncated at 5 min (before the rinse/requilibration phase shown in Figure 2 (a)). Examples: 0.00000, 0.00833
Intensity (double): corresponding intensity (in arbitrary units) of the HPLC signal, after baseline correction Examples: 0.0461, 5.7237.
Mass_added (double): mass of PET added to the sample in mg. Examples: 2.863, 34.899.
Mass_measured (double): mass of PET estimated via the proposed method in mg. Examples: 3.267, 35.209.
PET_mass_percentage (double): percentage of PET in the sample by mass. For Group == 'Fabric', this is the value on the product label. For Group != 'Fabric', this is the estimate based on Mass_measured. Examples: 28, 35.137.
Example_cal_parameters.rds (0.25 kB): R variable export containing the output of broom::tidy(base::lm(...)) for a typical calibration curve. Concentrations (C) are expressed in mg TA/ml, Areas as AU*min (matching the integration of HPLC_data$Chromatogram over time. The dilution factor of the samples is D = 0.05.
Fabric_key.pdf (161 kB): single page PDF with the key to match the fabric shown in Table 1 to their entries in HPLC_data.
