Survey developed at the Department of Architecture between the 8th and 9th of February 2016SYSTEM: questionnaire with questions and maps (to be filled during short workshop sessions (50 minutes))
MAIN QUESTIONS:
- Current Situation: Use of the existing buildings (Miestentie, Otakaari and Paja)and Interaction with other people or groups
- Expected or Desired situation: Use and interaction in the new network of buildings (Väre, Otakaari and Paja)
PARTICIPANTS: 31(5 from BASE group, 4 from SMART group, 4 from X group , 4 from SPACE group, 5 from LAND group, 8 from ADMIN group and 1 STUDENT)
RESULTS: The survey included some aggregated results and some results per FOCUS GROUP and per positions (PROFESSORS, LECTURERS, RESEARCHERS, ADMIN STAFF AND STUDENTS). Opinions were kept anonymous
CONTETS OF THE FINAL REPORT:
1) Graded answer to a set of quantitative questions (degree of privacy and degree of interaction with other people)
2) Word Clouds and Specific answers to some questions about:
-- Existing premises-
-- Future buildings: Interaction with other programmes, Distributions between buildings, Concerns and Expectations about the VÄRE building and Ideas for the Väre building
3) Plan drawings identifying:
-- Current premises: Use of spaces and Places of interaction (degree and location)
--Future premises: Desired Use of spaces and Places of interaction (degree and location)
NOTE: This survey was commissioned by the Management Board of the Department of Architecture in order to have a more objective image of the personal and collective opinions of its members. All the participants were informed that there was already a consistent and official process for the move to the new premises and that, therefore, all the opinions and comments would remain in an informative level.
