You are all warmly welcome to join the upcoming research seminar on organizational spaces and places in our seminar-series organized by the Department of Organization & Management at ÅAU.
The seminar takes place on Wednesday 8th April at 15.00-17.00 on Zoom (link attached). There will be two interesting presentations and papers to be discussed. Please accept this Outlook calendar invite asap to receive the two papers beforehand. I will circulate the papers only among those of you planning to attend. Warmly welcome!
First, we’re delighted to welcome PhD Ari Kuismin from the Department of Management Studies, Aalto University School of Business, Helsinki. Ari will present an interesting paper entitled “Process studies of organizational space”. Ari’s research focuses on the changing forms of work and organizing especially from the perspectives of space and rhythms. His work draws on ethnographic and affective approaches.
In the second part of the seminar, Professor Anette Hallin will present her paper entitled “Representation of Space. Uncovering the Political Dimension of Guided Tours in Stockholm”. With this paper, Anette invites a joint discussion around the status of the space and place-research in organization studies right now.
