QAYYEM Programme in Curatorial ResearchAmman, Tangier, Alexandria
Qayyem is an intensive programme for emerging curators seeking to discuss notions of education, self-organisation. Collectivity and deep adaptation, as well as methodologies of hope in the arts and beyond. Six curators and researchers have been invited to meet three times over a period of six months in order to explore different forms of curatorial knowledge, individually and collectively, working together with renowned curators, thinkers and practitioners. The final part of the programme is a four-week residency for the participants in Alexandria, culminating with a presentation of their curatorial projects.
The six curators and researchers selected for the programme are Noor Abed, Areej Al-Huniti, Maxime Gourdon, MF Kalfat, Lila Nazemian and Chahrazad Zahi.
The co-investigators are Bassam El Baroni, Daniel Blanga Gubbay, María Berríos, Binna Choi, Övül Durmuşoğlu, Yazan Khalili, Lara Khaldi, Paul O'Neill, Leire Vergara and Mick Wilson.
