Aalto University's CRAI-CIS research group, in collaboration with Utrecht University’s Data School, is organizing a workshop on the use of large language models in the public sector.The Data School is best known for their ethical evaluation tool DEDA which has been applied extensively around Europe and especially among public sector organizations. Our workshop in September will take a slightly different approach: We will approach the use of specifically LLM’s in the public sector from a selection of lenses such as demystification, contextualization, inclusion and positioning. We will be working through a few case examples from the public sector in Europe.
The session includes participants from the e.g. the Finnish Tax Administration, Kela, Finnish Customs, Business Finland, City of Helsinki, and DVV.
The session will provides material for research on the use of LLM’s in the public sector in Europe.
