Description

The National Conferences in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering began in 1987 with the joint organization of Instituto Superior Técnico and the Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering Section of the Portuguese Association of Engineers (Colégio de
Engenharia Naval da Ordem dos Engenheiros). The 12 editions of the event were initially organized annually, later becoming a bi-annual
event including one edition in 1997 organized in conjunction with the Association of Naval Architects of Spain.
Having overcome the pandemic situation which afflicted us from 2020 to 2022, it is refreshingly welcome that MARTECH 2024 can return to being held in presence. Depending on the number of requests, it is still to be decided whether online transmission will be available for non-author attendees. The Conference will continue to have a broad scope, covering all aspects of maritime activity including:
- Ship Design (structures, hydrodynamics, machinery)
- Ship Operation
- Ship Building and Repair
- Maritime Transportation and Ports
- Fishing and Aquaculture
- Offshore Energy Resources
- Military and Surveillance Vessels
- Recreational Craft and Maritime Tourism
