The paper describes Tyson Seburn’s (2016) Academic Reading Circle (ARC) group work model applied on an introductory research course taught online at Aalto University Department of Architecture in 2021–22. The model was implemented to respond to an increasing demand for academic literacy among professionals and to support the idea of an architect-researcher identity with a versatile knowledge of architectural research and its methodological opportunities.
