Abstract

The website woven.aalto.fi is an online textbook which offers information on woven fabrics and their materials and structures: textile materials, fibres and yarns, technical information on woven fabric structures and their properties, information on drafting of the structures, and weaving and experimenting on the sample warps. The content of the online textbook is based on the book Interwoven – Exploring Materials and Structures written by Maarit Salolainen. This website is one of the A!Ole pilots and it was launched on the Woven Fabrics Studio course in November 2020.
