Wireless power transfer through multipole coupling in dielectric resonators

Abstract

We investigate mid-range wireless power transfer systems based on dielectric spherical resonators. The numerical investigation for multipole mode coupling between resonators are performed. The power transfer efficiency as a function of the distance between resonators for these modes are calculated and compared. The maximal efficiency of 85% are demonstrated.
