Abstract

People with disabilities are a vital part of the society. Creating an inclusive workplace to in-volve people with disabilities in warehousing activities can facilitate their social integration and promote economic growth. In this chapter, we present a state-of-the-art synthesis of vari-ous assistive technologies for supporting people with disabilities in warehousing activities. We categorize assistive technologies into three clusters and discuss how they can support people with physical, sensorial, and cognitive disabilities. We also provide insights for warehouse managers, highlighting that managers should understand the individual needs of humans and adopt one or more assistive technologies considering the specific task requirements.
