Abstract

Nature provides many benefits, contemporarily named 'Ecosystem Services (ES)', to the residents of cities. For instance, urban nature is purported to improve health and well-being, regulate climate change and decrease air pollution. We argue that a new way is needed to approach urban planning, one that links humans and nature/ecology.
