    Abstract

The Urban Mediator concept is that of a software and related web-based services that enable users (citizens and city administration) to obtain and share information about a city neighborhood. Urban Mediator is available in a desktop and mobile version. It allows users to browse, search and add location-based information that appears on an online map. Urban Mediator also offers a set of tools for users to process this information. The alpha version of the Urban Mediator software was available in August 2007. There are two instances, one for Dublin and one for Helsinki, currently running on this alpha version.
