To Draw the Line: Resharing Authority and Taking Care of Drawing as an Emergent Agent in Artistic Research

    Abstract

    Drawing (a non-human entity) and a human researcher-drawer offer a caring
    visual-verbal research exploration about drawn care and care for Drawing as
    part of ongoing research. The artistic research is a combination of scholarly
    drawing, drawn bi-directional autoethnographies created in inseparable cooperation with an emergent agent: Drawing. The researcher searches for ways
    to care for her co-researcher Drawing and reader in the text and in/with/by
    drawing. The words and visuals in this article aim to complement and compliment each other; their open-endedness mirroring the process[es] of not- and
    [un]knowing in/with/by Drawing.
