The optimal BDJ-type ground state of the charged Boson gas

Abstract

The ground-state properties of the charged Bose gas are calculated using the optimal nonparametrized Jastrow wave-function in the HNC approximation. The long-wavelength plasmon mode is correctly predicted and the validity of the virial theorem is demonstrated. Accurate energies and pressures are obtained.
