Abstract
Technology is affecting virtual teamwork. The latest advancements affecting virtual teamwork are the result of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI has now often used in virtual teams. In light of the growing number of virtual teams in industry, it has become crucial to equip people with the requisite skills to navigate this unique working situation. In addition, universities are undergoing a process of self-orientation with a view to meeting the modern labour force. The shift from exclusively human team members to human-AI teams has produced significant changes. These changes may become more pronounced as AI progresses. This chapter reveals how AI impacts virtual teams.
