The effect of solar flares on comet 67P and RPC/LAP

Abstract

We study the effect of solar flares on the coma of 67P and on the Rosetta Langmuir probe instruments. We find little evidence of them increasing the plasma density, but they do increase the photoelectron current from the Langmuir probe.
