Abstract
Assessing the probable maximum loss in highly active seismic areas is extremely important. The present authors have developed a database in order to facilitate loss estimation in relation to seismic disasters in China. Risk Analysis may be carried out on this database by the integrated use of airborne remote sensing and GIS. The database is developed on ILWIS Windows 2.0.
